Last blogged @ 10:45 AM I nearly killed a patient.
I dont know how many times I must say this but it's true. Now I'm like afraid to do Para. case: This patient was on many drips and undergoing blood transfusion if Im not wrong. I was taking the routine paras (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, SPO2) and this patient happened to be just admitted to our ward. After which I noted his BP was 77/51. Which was pretty low, this I admit. Normal range is between 90-140 for systolic, 60-80 for diastolic. The previous measurement of BP was 88/60 if Im not wrong. I got warned by the Staff nurse, oh well, guess they might demerit my points. TODAY. I woke up at 6.30am cos my parents woke up late. So when I reached the ward, it was 7.05. Totally dampen my mood. Thank God my wardmates were with me. Didn't take parameters for the whole day and yet time still pass so quickly. As it was the morning shift =) Yay! Im complete tube feeding, para, assisted bathing, transfering patient out of bed, commode, urinal ........ Gonna continue on my Bed bath tomorrow. Presentation is tomorrow. Ours is due on the 2nd week as our in charge would be on leave. Therefore we got one week lesser. ZzZZZZZ Im now at peninsula LAN shop. Will be going home soon! :D |
